Oh My Goodness…A Deanna Durbin Film Festival in Palo Alto, CA from December 1st until January 7th. Finally the public will be able to watch Christmas Holiday at the time of year it was meant to be watched. I’m not sure what the Studio was thinking by releasing this movie on June 28th of 1944 instead of December 25th 1944 but I’m very jealous that the people of Palo Alto will be able to watch a very different Gene Kelly and Deanna Durbin in this dark noir movie, set over a Christmas holiday on the big screen. I am thinking that the deannadurbindevotees are ecstatic over the news of this month long festival. Now if only Universal Studio would release the remainder of Durbin’s films to DVD we could all be very ecstatic together during this Christmas Holiday season!
